Take a deep breath, relax and experience the magic of a tipi holiday in the heart of beautiful East Sussex. Leave the frantic pace of modern life behind and unwind around the camp fire enjoying the tranquillity of tipi living. At Big Sky Tipi Holidays we aim to provide a unique camping experience for all the family to enjoy. Each authentic Sioux Indian tipi (all hand painted with traditional Sioux designs) will sleep 4-6 people (depending on the mix of childrenadults). Inside they have hand painted liners, an Ozan' (a canvas ceiling for extra cosiness) over the bed. Bean bags and faux fur rugs on the floor provide a comfortable and snug living space. This is camping with a difference, an unrivalled night under the stars!All of your cooking equipment is provided so each tipi has a bbq, gas stove, pots and pans, cutlery, cool box and solar lantern etc. Each tipi has its own campfire, and a bench table under a canvas awning. We keep our own pigs and chickens so our bacon, sausage and free range eggs are available to buy.There is a small communal fridge in the toiletshower block and electric sockets for guests use. The toilet and shower block are purpose built to a high standard and provide plenty of hot water for the showers.Situated 5 miles from the coast, close to the Victorian resort town of Eastbourne, we are also within easy access to the newly designated South Downs National park. We are located 5 minutes walk from Herstmonceux Castle, the site of the original Greenwich Observatory and now the Observatory Science Centre. The site was selected for its' clear skies, free from light pollution. Whilst the original Greenwich astronomers have long since moved on, we still benefit from the clear skies unhindered by light pollution perfect for a night around the campfire and gazing into the heavens!
